6 emerging choreographers. 6 new works.
Join us for an evening of dance celebrating the voices of six emerging choreographers in the Tampa Bay Area. This program will feature new works by Dakota Kuharich, Rachel Lambright, and Luis Torres of the 2019 Momentum Choreographic Mentorship program, and Carissa Bishop, Heidi Brewer, and Fernando Chonqui of projectALCHEMY.
The Momentum Choreographers Show is September 28th and 29th at The Studio@620.
So much can happened in a year and what better way to celebrate than a party, right? Join us on October 18th, our anniversary, at the Florida Museum of Photographic Arts as we toast to a great year dance in our community and share our vision for the future.
Strum of the bass. Rumble of the drums. The sweet melodies of the sax.
projectALCHEMY is teaming up with jazz musician Jeremy Carter to present a evening of jazz music and dance unlike any experienced in St. Pete to date. Jazz Theory, premiering February 15th and 16th at The Studio@620, merges dance and jazz together, exploring their roles in history and culture.
Have a new work in the works, but no place to show it? Or an idea that you want to try out for feedback? Then, do we have something special for you.
We are excited to present Momentum Open Floor on April 24th at The Studio@620. This two hour dance event allows dance artists the opportunity to showcase whatever they have to offer. The showings will be videoed for the artists to use as they wish, whether that is for an upcoming festival submission or for more work in the studio. Momentum Open Floor is open to the public and is a donation based event—all proceeds go towards Momentum, our artist propeller program, so that we can continue to offer new opportunities to dance artists and enthusiasts in our community.
