The 2026–2027 season continues projectALCHEMY's commitment to creating contemporary dance experiences that are immersive, interdisciplinary, and deeply connected to the communities that surround them. Throughout the year, artists from across the Tampa Bay Area come together to premiere new choreography, nurture emerging voices, collaborate across disciplines, and invite audiences into experiences that celebrate imagination, experimentation, and transformation.
This season moves through museums and theaters, studios and shared spaces, celebrating not only where dance can happen, but what dance can become.

Momentum Choreographers Showcase: Moving Surreal
The Dalí Museum
September 29 & October 6, 2026
Momentum Choreographers Showcase: Moving Surreal, presented in partnership with The Dalí Museum, is the culmination of five months of process, experimentation, and artistic development through projectALCHEMY’s Momentum Choreographic Mentorship. The mentorship gives dance makers time, space, guidance, and resources to investigate their artistic voices, take creative risks, and develop original work.
This season, choreographers Curvacia Elysée, Sami Mangione, Aynsleigh Morehouse, and Victoria Gonzalez bring their distinct perspectives into conversation with Dalí in America. Through time spent within the exhibition and museum spaces, each artist has developed a new contemporary dance work shaped by their own movement language, questions, and relationship to surrealism.
The Momentum Choreographers Showcase invites audiences into the culmination of that journey—not simply to witness four new works, but to encounter four artists at a particular moment in their evolving creative practices.
MIXed: Pulse of the City

November 20–21, 2026
MIXed: Pulse of the City brings together contemporary dance, film, and distinct choreographic voices in an experience inspired by the people, places, and rhythms of St. Petersburg. The evening creates an exchange between nationally recognized guest artists and the dance makers creating and working within our community. This season features new works by projectALCHEMY company artists Jonah Perez-Lopez and Kirsten Standridge, alongside original choreography by guest artists Jennifer Archibald and LaMichael Leonard Jr. The experience also includes the premiere of MIXed: Across St. Pete, a dance film by cinematographer Joey Clay, capturing movement created throughout neighborhoods and public spaces across the city. Together, live performance and film create a portrait of a city in motion—celebrating the creative energy that emerges when artists, ideas, and community move alongside one another.
Spring Collab: Midsummer at the Disco
In collaboration with Jobsite Theater and FloridaRama
April 2–3 and 9-10, 2027
This season’s Spring Collab, Midsummer at the Disco, is an immersive collaboration between projectALCHEMY, Jobsite Theater, and FloridaRama, bringing Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream into a world of contemporary dance, theater, visual installation, and disco.
Presented at FloridaRama, the experience reimagines Shakespeare’s tangled story of love, desire, identity, and transformation through the energy and freedom of the dance floor. Movement, theater, and visual art unfold throughout an immersive environment where audiences are invited into a world that is playful, theatrical, and a little unruly.
At its heart, Midsummer at the Disco explores the dance floor as a place of possibility—a space for gathering, self-expression, refuge, and becoming. Through Spring Collab, three Tampa Bay arts organizations bring their distinct practices together to ask what can happen when Shakespeare leaves the traditional stage and enters the disco.

Momentum Choreographers Showcase: Alum Night brings artists from across seven years of projectALCHEMY’s Momentum Choreographic Mentorship back into the room to share where their creative practices have taken them. For this first Alum Night, Rachel Lambright, Dakota Kuharich Stevenson, Kayla Gupta, Autumn Christian, and Delaney Ali return to present choreographic work at The Studio@620—the place where the original Choreographers Showcase began and the roots of what would eventually become Momentum first took shape. More than a return, Alum Night celebrates continuation: how an artistic voice changes with time, how mentorship can ripple beyond a single experience, and how a community of dance makers continues to grow alongside one another.
