Celebrating 7 Years of projectALCHEMY

Premiere of one step at a time - a dance film

Embodied Alchemy in motion. Create. Collaborate. Transform.

For seven years, projectALCHEMY has been growing a community-rooted dance+ ecosystem in St. Petersburg and beyond. Tonight we celebrate that journey with the premiere of one step at a time—a new dance film born from our stage work SHIFT. It’s a reminder that transformation begins with a single move: take one step, and momentum follows.

About the Work

one step at a time began as a solo in SHIFT, an evening-length work centered on embodied wellness and the body’s need to stay in motion. This solo focuses on the horizon that opens when we take that first step—toward healing, risk, and the unknown.
Premiered in honor of seven years of projectALCHEMY’s growth, the film reflects our dual commitment: nurturing a professional dance company and sustaining equitable, community-rooted outreach.
